It's vacation time! Check-in at our Newport Beach hotel opens daily at 4:00 p.m., and check-out is at 11:00 a.m. The minimum age to check in is 21. Feel free to use the resort facilities while we store your luggage.
As part of our commitment to a luxurious guest experience, there is a daily Resort Fee of $50 which includes complimentary high speed WIF on property, sparkling wine pour daily from 3pm-5pm, shuttle service within a two-mile radius of the resort (based on availability; advanced reservations recommended), two bottled waters in room on a daily basis, Nespresso in-room tea and coffee replenished daily, evening turndown service, use of beach cruiser bikes for one hour, children's amenity, complimentary local and national newspapers in the lobby, plus complimentary use of sand toys for a day at the beach including boogie boards, beach umbrellas, towels and beach chairs (based on availability).
Plans change, and we get it. Contact us as soon as you can to cancel. Cancel 48 hours before 12:00 pm on your arrival date, unless your reservation says otherwise. Packages and special promotions often have additional cancellation policies, so check yours.
The resort's 25-meter pool is heated to 80 degrees and open daily from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm. Enjoy chair-side service and lounge seating, or rent a private day bed or cabana. Waterline Pool+Bar is open seasonally and serves craft cocktails, wine, beer, and a full pool menu for lunch or snacks.
In-Room Dining runs Monday through Sunday, 7am to 10pm. Breakfast ends at noon Friday through Sunday. Choose from breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late-night menus, plus beer, wine, and liquors. View the menu.

There is no smoking or vaping in any guest rooms, including on the balconies. The designated smoking areas are located outside at the front gate near the light. Smoking fees will be applied to any persons who violate this policy and smoke in their guest rooms.
Complimentary transportation within a two-mile radius is provided by the Resort based on availability. Popular locations include Fashion Island, local beaches and restaurants. Guests are encouraged to schedule the shuttle with Valet ahead of time.
Yes, rollaway beds are available for $50 per night. Pack and play cribs are complimentary. To ensure availability, please confirm your request when making a reservation.

Effective July 21, 2026, Balboa Bay Resort welcomes dogs weighing 25 pounds or less.
To ensure the comfort of all guests, dogs are not permitted on furniture, at the pool, inside restaurants or in private event spaces.
A $250+tax deep cleaning fee applies per pooch. A maximum of two dogs per guest rooms are permitted. Only dogs are allowed; no other types of pets are permitted.
Valet as well as self parking are available onsite. Prices vary depending on length of visit.
